The Story of the UHP Logo

The intent of the Ukraine Heart Project (UHP) is to connect hearts through music to the humanitarian needs of the Ukrainian people as a result of the Russian Ukraine War.

A spirit of interconnectedness breathes though UHP beyond perceivable ideological, cultural, and governmental differences. UHP is a vision of resiliency, including through human suffering that takes place bi-directionally when governments engage in military conflict.

The song “Our Hearts Are Free” donated by respected individuals of the music industry, clearly conveys both that suffering and resiliency, and is available for download through a chosen donation via UkraineHeartProject.com. In UHP’s logo, the following applies:

Milana and Ivo, UHP Logo Contributors

• The core structure is a heart that has 2 distinct sides or chambers, that represent different elements in need of healing and integration within the individual, or between individuals.

• In the center of the heart is a musical note that represents the capacity of music in and of itself, to cultivate intrapersonal and interpersonal healing, and as well the power of music to generate needed resources for healing.

• The two main colors of the logo, blue and yellow, represent the people of Ukraine who will directly benefit from the resources that emerge through UHP efforts, including donations from the downloading of “Our Hearts Are Free.” Resources will be channeled into not-for-profit agencies that do effective and efficient humanitarian work through the provision of food, clothing, medical assistance, and social and mental health support, in response to the Russian Ukraine War.

• The third color of the logo, red, appears on the right side of the central heart structure that has within it a representation of the power of music to facilitate healing. The color red represents shared suffering and humanity beyond perceived differences, including through the spilling of blood that civilians can experience across borders through actions between governments.
